What Do We Check Before Shipping a C-Series Cracking Mill?

image
Once the main manufacturing work on a C-Series Cracking Mill is complete, the machine does not go straight to packing and shipment.
Before delivery, we carry out assembly checks, key mechanical checks, a complete-machine running check, and final completion checks. The main areas include the rolls, bearings, feeding system, roll-gap adjustment mechanism, drive system, guards, and lubrication-related components.
Only after these checks are complete does the machine move on to final packing and shipment preparation. Next, let’s walk through what BellaEx does at each of these stages.

Key Checks During Assembly

The main assembly starts with the base, rolls, and bearing-related components, followed by the feeding system, fixed-roll and movable-roll assemblies, roll-gap adjustment mechanism, drive components, and external structures.
The cracking rolls and roll assemblies form the core working section of the machine. The rolls are checked before they go into the complete machine, after which the bearings, bearing housings, and fixed-roll and movable-roll assemblies are installed in sequence.
The feeding system is another important part, helping guide the material steadily into the cracking zone.

As the main assemblies come together, the housing, guards, magnetic separation and material-control components, and lubrication-related parts are installed as well.
Once these parts are in place, the main assembly is complete and the machine moves on to the next stage of checks.

Critical Mechanical Checks Before Release

A machine may be fully assembled, but that does not necessarily mean it is in good mechanical condition.
So once the main assemblies are in place, we turn our attention to several more specific mechanical areas.
The bearing system is one of them. We check the fit between the bearings and bearing housings, the bearing clearance after assembly, and the lubrication condition so the roll assembly has the right conditions for stable rotation.
We also check the radial runout of the roll assembly to confirm its mechanical condition after installation.
Assembly clearances and the roll-gap adjustment mechanism are checked again as well. This helps make sure the mechanism can move normally, so the working gap between the rolls can later be adjusted to suit the process.

These checks focus on the rolls, bearings, lubrication, assembly clearances, and roll-gap adjustment mechanism, providing the basis for the complete-machine running check that follows.

Running Check and Final Machine Confirmation

Once the mechanical checks are done, the next step is to run the complete machine.
Normally, we run the machine with no material passing through it so we can check its basic running condition.
While the machine is running, we observe the rolls and drive system, check the operating sound and speed, and make sure the pulleys and other drive components are running smoothly.
We also check for any obvious interference between the feeding system, roll-gap adjustment mechanism, and guards, while monitoring the bearings and lubrication-related areas.
Compared with checking individual components, this stage gives us a better view of the machine as a complete operating unit.

After the no-load run, the remaining finishing work can be completed, including painting, final installation of covers, and lubrication piping. At this point, the machine reaches its final completed condition.

Packing and Preparing for Shipment

Once the machine is complete, the focus shifts from mechanical checks to getting it ready for safe delivery.
Depending on the order and project requirements, we prepare equipment photos, nameplate information, packing documents, operating manuals, and any necessary installation information. If spare parts are included, the corresponding spare-parts information is prepared as well.
The machine itself is then protected and packed for transport.
At this stage, the machine is first wrapped and secured. If a wooden crate is required, it is then crated and reinforced before factory handling and loading.
